Mr. Powell will present how the Challenger Learning Center initiated programs using STEM ((Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math)  Projects to enhance project management skills.

The Challenger Learning Center's mission is to ignite a lifelong interest in science, engineering, math and technology through simulated space missions and other science education programs.  Since opening their doors in Nov. 2003, the Challenger Learning Center - St Louis, has launched over 75,000 students into space to discover comets, land on Mars and return to the moon.  This exceptional educational opportunity allows students to achieve success in roles as astronauts, scientists and engineers engaged to simulate space missions.

In addition to the academically and project management focused activities that are aligned with state education standards, the Challenger experience gives students an opportunity to strengthen their teamwork, communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

They have also taken these same educational concepts a step further and created similar programs for Teachers, Parents, Corporate Professionals and Community Groups alike.
